NDC Parliamentary Candidate for the Berekum East in the Brong Ahafo region, Hon. Opoku Boakye-Yiadom, says the NDC government is still focused on transforming the lives of Ghanaians through its developmental projects.

Speaking to Peace FM's Correspondent Emmanuel Henryson Okrah on the construction of the Berekum-Drobo Highway by the NDC, Hon. Opoku Boakye-Yiadom said the ruling party is bent on improving the country’s infrastructure to enrich the lives of Ghanaians.

"We are working for the people. President promised the people and he is doing it . . . I don't understand some people at all. We are not doing it because of elections. We will not destroy the tarred roads even when we leave office."

The Drobo -Berekum highway was a death trap full of potholes resulting in several road accidents.

The stretch of road, upon completion, will serve as an easy route for vehicles that will export timber from the Dormaa Ahenkro, Nkrankwanta, Kyeremasu through Sampa-Wenchi to Burkina Faso.

"We'll make sure it is done well. It is not done because of elections whatsoever... Ghanaians deserve the best from this government, the MP stressed.
