Dont Insult Chiefs Praising Me Mahama Tells Opponents

President John Dramani Mahama has expressed worry over verbal attacks on traditional rulers from his opponents.

He wondered why his opponents criticise chiefs who praise him for the numerous developmental projects he has executed within his three-year term as the Commander-in-Chief of the Ghana Armed Forces.

Addressing Zongo chiefs and elders at the Central mosque during his ‘Accounting to the people tour’ in the Ashanti Region, he observed that the chiefs are only showing appreciation for honouring his promises to them.

According to him, he has received commendations from all the chiefs he had visited in the six regions during his campaign tour.

He said he does not discriminate with the sharing of the national cake, irrespective of the political persuasion of the area concerned.
