XCLUSIV FOTOS: Despite Group of Companies Fun Games
It was all fun galore at the Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday July 2, 2016 as a soccer gala climaxed the Despite Group Blood Donation and fun games.
Different teams were formed by employees of Okay FM, Neat FM, Neat Foods, Special Ice Company and Best Assurance, who competed amongst themselves.
An ‘All Stars,’ faced Despite XI, a team of broadcast journalists, DJs, news editors and senior workers assembled from UTV, Peace FM, Peacefmonline, Okay FM and Neat FM.
Although the stars were the favorite of spectators at the packed stadium, ‘Despite XI’ won by three goals to one.
The Despite Group Fun Games also had an exceptionally hilarious football match between two groups of persons living with dwarfism.
There were music performances from Nicholas Omane Acheampong, Nii Funny of ‘Yooko Ebreaki Me’ Fame, Becca, KK Fosu, Kwaw Kesse and Nana Boro among others.
It was one of the very few instances where the tycoons running the Despite and Special Group, Dr Osei Kwame Despite, Mr. Ernest Ofori Sarpong and Fadda Dickson, were seen together at a public event.
The fun games were preceded by a mega blood donation exercise on Friday, July 1, also organized by the Despite Group with support from the National Blood Service and the ministry of Health.
