Nana Addos Encounter With Stakeholders In Creative Arts Was A waste Of Time - FIPAG PRO

The flagbearer for the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has recently been applauded by some creative arts industry players for organizing a meeting with them to share his vision about the industry and also seek their views about how to enhance the industry.

They believe that it was a step in the right direction and should be encouraged. One of such persons is Rap star, D Black who could not hide his appreciation to Nana for the invitation and expressed his profound admiration on social media.

But what they see as a brilliant idea that needs commendation by all well meaning stakeholders in the creative arts has been sent to the gutters by the vociferous Public Relations Manager for the Film Producers Association of Ghana (FIPAG), Michael Ola.

He believes the encounter was needless. Speaking to Adom Entertainment News, Ola said the encounter which was supposed to be an interesting interaction was short-lived because Nana Addo could not get ample time for the invitees.

Interestingly, Ola was not at the encounter, which was attended by what could be described as the ‘crème de la crème’ in the creative arts industry in Ghana including Kwesi Kyei Darkwah popularly known as KKD, ace Actor David Dontoh, Socrate Sarfo, D-Black, Willi Roi, Bola Ray at Nana Addo’s Nima residence.

But film maker Michael Ola, who recently declared his unflinching support for President John Dramani Mahama, believes the meeting was a waste of time.

He told Adom Entertainment News that he is ‘reliably informed’ that Nana Addo ‘only spent ten minutes’ with the stakeholders and left for his room because he had go to bed.

“I am told that he had just returned from his tour in the Central Region so he was tired and needed some rest so after engaging the invitees for just ten minutes he left them and went to sleep’ Ola claimed.

The FIPAG PRO questions why Nana Addo could not spend what he says is adequate time with the stakeholders he invited after they (the stakeholders) had suspended their schedules to honour his invitation.

He also described the NPP flag bearer’s action as “disrespectful” and further criticized his aides for doing what he called a “shoddy job” for organizing the meeting “at a wrong time.”

But one of the organizers for the meeting, Mark Okraku Mantey dismissed Ola’s assertions, pointing out that the FIPAG PRO had already declared his support for arguably Nana Addo’s biggest opponent, and would therefore see nothing praiseworthy in his actions.
