Member of Parliament (MP) for Komenda-Edina-Eguafo- Abrem (KEEA) Constituency, Hon. Dr. Stephen Nana Ato Arthur has accused the Chairperson of the EC, Madam Charlotte Osei as the worst chair of the commission since its existence.
Aside her delay in the electoral processes needed to suit the upcoming polls, she is also not a straight forward person to be relied on.
Speaking on the ‘Adekye Nsroma’ panel discussion, he noted that “the National Democratic Congress (NDC) should stop criticizing the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for accusing the EC on its electoral processes, because it is Ghanaians except the NDC who are accusing the EC and not only the NPP. How can we keep complaining when the right things are done for the betterment of this nation?”
“Our expectation from the EC which would keep this nation calm before, during and after elections without any struggle is to do with what is right as it creates vibrant listening ears to its stakeholders,” he told UTV’s Yaa Konama.
He called on the National Media Commission (NMC) to make sure every needed regulation by journalism code of ethics are well respected and observed as the law demands of journalists.
As such they must also put up measures and series of punishments for persons who violate the regulations of their profession.
