Ghanaian international Andre Ayew has revealed his father’s decision to give up on the Ghana Football Association Presidential seat.

Abedi Pele, former Ghanaian international and Black Stars captain was expected to contest Kwesi Nyantakyi in the next election.

Football fans have called for the three-time African football of the year to take up the role as the President of the Ghana Football Association after his exploit with the National team.

Andre Ayew in an interview with Starr Fm says his father has withdrawn his intentions of taking up the post as GFA boss.

“My father does not want to become Ghana FA president anymore. His ambition has changed,” he said.

“He had those ambitions when he was young but he has so many responsibilities now and he is not interested in becoming the FA President.

“He has other things to do at FIFA and other places so I don’t think he wants to become the FA President.”

Andre Ayew has drawn inspiration from his father since taking up the profession as a footballer.
