Asamoah Gyan Wants Sulley Muntari Back In Black Stars Team

Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan wants compatriot Sulley Muntari back in the Black Stars team.

The China based forward has called on Ghanaians to forgive Muntari for his indiscipline act during the Black Stars campaign at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

Muntari was given an indefinite suspension from the Black Stars team after physically assaulting former Ghana Football Association executive committee member Moses Parker.

The Al Ittihad midfielder recently rendered an apology for his misconduct towards the Medeama owner.

Gyan believes Muntari has a lot to offer the Black Stars and must be given another opportunity.

“Sulley Muntari should be forgiven. He has apologised, he is human and made a mistake. As to whether he should be recalled, that is the Coach’s decision,” he told Happy FM.

“But I think he still has a lot to offer, he is experienced and will make an impact in the team. But is up to the Coach to invite him or not.”

Sulley Muntari has already expressed his readiness to feature for the Black Stars whenever he is invited.
