"The Beach Soccer as a sport has done well and government will continue to support any discipline that is doing well.

"I have said that equal attention ought to be given to all sporting disciplines not only football, being it athletics, boxing, weightlifting, tennis, taekwondo and any sports that is doing well.

"We are supposed to support all the sporting disciplines and that is what we intend to do," he stressed.

According to the Sports Minister, a new Beach Soccer arena is being constructed in Dansoman and plans are far advance to see to it that all disciplines are given the needed attention.

“So far we have done some little support to the other sporting disciplines and we shall do more,” he said.

“The Beach Soccer arena in my constituency was too small and so what we have done is to transfer the sand to Dansoman Mayland, and we’re hoping to finish before the end of the year so we can have two more apart from the already one we have in Accra,” he added.
