Hearts chief Odotei praises coach Traguil

The Phobians management member has lauded the results of their new coach and insists they will win the title.

Hearts of Oak general manager Vincent Sowah Odotei has praised head coach Sergio Traguil who replaced Kenichi Yatsuhashi last month, following their unbeaten run in the second round of the season.

The Phobians finished the first round in fourth position but are currently topping the log with eight games remaining and have opened up a four point gap between them and second-placed Wa All Stars.

“We are very happy with Sergio [Traguil] because he has not lost any match. He has won more points than the reverse fixtures in the first round,” Odotei told Happy FM.

“We are happy with Sergio and we will continue to support him, we will continue to encourage him so I expect all the supporters and the media to support him. Because, everyone can attest to the fact that he plays very good football. We are happy with Sergio and his technical assistants,” he added.

Odotei also insisted that Hearts will maintain their grip on the top spot after overtaking Wa All Stars.

“We began the league with the aim to be competitive and now that we are occupying the top spot, we will not surrender the league title to any side. We are firm on top of the table now.

“We want to win the league for the first time in so many years. As a result, we are not surrendering our lead."

Hearts last won the title in 2009 and their closest has been a third-place finish in 2013. They will travel to Sogakope next week Wednesday to lock horns with Wafa.
