One of the renowned Film Director cum Producer Rev. Samuel Kwesi Nyamekye has declared himself the originator of Akan movies in Kumasi.
He stated that his origination of Akan movies is not only in Ghana but the world as a whole.
He disclosed this on the Ashh Fm Entertainment Zone minutes after a film director Isaac Rockson made it clear that Rev. Samuel Nyamekye of Miracle Films is not the originator of Akan Moives in Kumasi.
According Rockson, Samuel Nyamkye has been claiming credit for been the brain behind akan movies in Kumasi of which is far from the facts.
‘'Miracle films cannot claim originator of Akan movies in Kumasi, it was AlexiBoat who brought akan movies in Kumasi and Miracle was an errand boy at AlexiBoat shop’’
But in a quick reaction on the show Rev Samuel Nyamekye dismissed the assertion and said no one can doubt his contribution in the film industry.'’ Indeed alexiboat was my boss back in the days but he was selling foreign Cds ‘' I’m the first person to produce local movies in Kumasi’’ he added
Miracle Films indicated that, he produced more than five movies on the market before alexiboat started venturing into film productions.
According to him, in early 90’s, he was the first person to commercialize local movies and people can identify that if they check his movie archives.
