Amankwaah Sorry For Testicle Jibe

England-based Ghanaian defender Kevin Amankwaah last night apologised for taunting Millwall striker Neil Harris about having a testicle removed eight years ago. The Swindon defender found himself in hot water after he made jibes about the hitman's battle with the disease during a heated confrontation between the duo.And the right-back said he would be making a donation to the Everyman Appeal as a good-will gesture - the charity Lions striker Harris is heavily involved in. Harris had to be restrained by team-mates as a mass brawl threatened to boil over at the County Ground.Amankwaah, who is yet to be considered for any Ghana national team but wears the flag every time he plays, denied he had made the comments immediately after the game. But his apology will be seen as an admission of guilt. He said: "I regret any offence that my comment may have caused."I extend an apology to Neil, a player and man for whom I have a high regard." The ex-Swansea man told referee Kevin Wright at the time he had been racially abused by Harris who is thought to have said: "Cor, you stink mate!"And Amankwaah hinted in his apology: "I feel that I was the subject of some abusive comment." An FA spokesman confirmed that the incident was being looked into and that abusive comments, especially of a personal nature, were not condoned.
