B Black Returns With All Level

EDUCATION IS indeed one important thing in life. However, pursuing International Relations at Eastern Mediterranean University in Cyprus is not enough reason for 26-year-old Ghanaian, B Black, otherwise called Bismark Asare, to relinquish his musical dreams. After realizing his love for music while in school, the chap combined his studio work with studying his books. While working in the studio, he also skewed some attention to reading his books as well. This seems to have paid off well for him. Currently, B Black, who has a year more of university education left, has revealed that his maiden album, All Level, is also ready. The 10-track album, he told BEATWAVES in an exclusive interview, will be released next month. Songs on the album include Gold, Revolution, Party Time, and the title track All level, among others. The album is basically about love and social life. I chose the title All Level because it has all kinds of music genres in it. It has R&B, Afro Pop, Hip Hop, Hip Life and a little bit of Jazz. I dont want to limit myself to a particular genre. I thought I should give music fans every taste of music when they get a copy of my album. When you are an Afro pop fan, you will have something to boast about, likewise fans of the other genres, he disclosed. B Black started his affair with music at the age of six, while at Good News International School in Koforidua. His parents however stopped him as they thought he would become a rascal. Heeding their advice, he managed to complete Koforidua Secondary Technical High School. He then got the opportunity to study International Relations at Eastern Mediterranean University in Cyprus. All grown up now, B Black, the fourth of seven siblings from Koforidua, decided his own future. He thus revisited his musical dream. After entering the university, he joined a musical group Big Ballaz, but broke away to release his single All Level late last year. All Level went on to win him an award at the Grandie Music Award organized by Radio Indy in Arizona, US. He was awarded for having the best new CD of the year. Besides winning him the Gold artiste of the year, the single also topped the broadjam.com chart for four weeks. As a result, he was signed by Winding-Road Music, which recorded most of the songs on the upcoming album.
