Prince Tsegah Accuses Radio Presenters of Retiring Musicians Prematurely

One of Ghana's controversial entertainment critics, Prince Tsegah, has argued that the failure of some radio presenters and DJs to promote the songs of some artistes contributes to their early retirement.

He made this statement on Adom Entertainment Hall discussions last Saturday hosted by Mike2.

According to him, most of the presenters rather focus on playing foreign songs instead of promoting Ghanaian music.

"We have a lot of good musicians in Ghana here who have good songs needing regular air play but our presenters do not promote them", he said.

He further explained that most presenters and DJs always rush to play foreign songs and dump the indigenous ones.

"Those who will play our own also always go for new songs and play them for some days only…meanwhile, the audience will love to listen to the old hit songs than the new ones which do not carry any good message", he explained.

He has therefore urged the presenters to stop promoting foreign songs at the expense of local ones.
