Final Success Fuels Sellas' Ambition

Ghana coach Sellas Tetteh is not just savoring the joy of playing in the finals of the FIFA U-20 World Cup rather he hopes to guide the Black Satellites to a first World title. The African Champions will be playing in their third Final of the tournament in five appearances on Friday against Brazil.Previous failed attempts against Brazil in 1993 and Argentina in 2001 has left Ghana with the tag as losing finalist on both occasions though never before has a team from Africa won the competition. But Sellas is confident that Black Satellites will finally clinch Africas first world title at this level."It's a fantastic feeling when you reach the Final. We'll do whatever it takes to win the trophy now. We're favourites and we're up for the challenge. "We've played good football throughout the tournament. We have no reason to be nervous. We have the required fitness, and we have the necessary determination," the Ghana coach said.Friday's meet in the final at Cairo International Stadium would be the second time at this level that both sides play each other for the title. Brazil, four-time winners in this competition had one over Ghana in 1993 but their coach Rogerio Lourenco is expecting an entertaining final."We certainly weren't at our best in the semi-final against Costa Rica, but that doesn't concern me in the slightest. Our target was to reach the Final, and we've hit our target. Ghana have played quality football all through the tournament and deserve their place in the Final. They play a very similar attacking game to us. The crowd can look forward to plenty of entertainment," said the Brazilian coach.
