"It Is Not Healthy For Celebrities To Endorse Political Parties"- Samini
Multiple award winning Ghanaian Afro dancehall artiste, Samini has condemned celebrities opening endorsing politicians.
Several celebrities have joined the political fray by endorsing the candidature of certain aspirants ahead of the 2016 general elections.
Some celebrities have gone ahead to campaign for their chosen candidates while others are also making songs that they believe can help sway the attention of voters in their favour, but this, the "Sweet Mistake" Singer thinks it's wrong and unhealthy for the entertainment industry.
Samini disclosed this in an interview with Joy News' ‘Let’s Talk Entertainment’.
“Personally, I don’t think it’s not too healthy to do that…when you take sides in serious issues like this…and you happen to offend a huge fan by that move, it goes a long way to affect your career going forward…,” he said.
To the multi-award winning artiste, it would be very difficult for celebrities who endorse certain political parties to condemn politicians when they breach their contracts with the electorates.
