A nine-year boy was crushed to death in a stampede on Friday night when he fell down from a truck fully loaded with jubilant youth who were celebrating Ghana�s victory in the FIFA Under-20 World Cup. Identified only as Kobby, the boy is said to have fallen from the side of the vehicle where he had perched with others in a procession of vehicles and people at Anloga in Kumasi. He was trampled on by the crowd in the late night carnival. The Assemblyman of Anloga, Amidu Gariba, who confirmed the incident to the Times newspaper, said the driver of the truck apparently did not notice the accident and drove on. He said the boy was sent to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.
