Illegal Voter Caused Mrs Rawlings� Presidency � EC Explains Rawlings Disqualification

The Electoral Commission has for the second time disqualified former first lady and flagbearer of National Democratic Party [NDP] Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rwalings from contesting this year’s presidential polls.

This is because she failed to meet the nomination requirement for the Presidential contest as set by the EC.

Mrs Charlotte Amah Osei, EC’s boss explained into details why former President Rawlings wife was disqualified – there was a loud noise in the auditorium when her name was mentioned among those who were disqualified.

“Candidate number nine [9] is Mrs Konadu Agyeman-Rwalings of the National Democratic Party. The committee was unable to accept Mrs Rawlings nomination because the number of subscribers to her forms did not meet the requirement of regulation 7 2b of the CI 94”

“In this instance, one subscriber to her forms on page 89 is not a validly register voter and illegally register twice in 2012 and 2014 and so is on the exclusion release of multiple voters. The details are,"

"Salifu Abdulia of the Nanuba South district with voter ID number 6617004814 register in March 2012 and voter ID number 212610022 and register in April 2014. So she [Mrs Rawlings] was disqualified” Madam Charlotte Osei explained
