XCLUSIV VIDEO: Ursula Owusu Gets A Huge Surprise On Kokrokoo

It was all smiles and scenes of joyous celebration when Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, Member of Parliament for Abelekuma West constituency was given a lovely birthday surprise live on radio Thursday morning.

The outspoken Lawyer and Politician who is a regular panel member on Peace FM's flagship program "Kokrokoo", was celebrated on the show by the host Chairman General Kwami Sefa Kayi and his production team as she marked another milestone in her life today, October 20th.

Ursula, spotting a red dotted white dress, walked into the studios of Peace FM in her usual pomp, ready to fire on all cylinders, not knowing the "Kokrokoo" team had something else in store for her.

After the first panelist on the show, Atik Mohammed, General Secretary for the People's National Convention (PNC) had almost ended his submission on the canker of galamsey and how to curb it, producers of the show signalled to the Ablekuma West NPP MP that something that needs her urgent attention has crop up.

Guess what the message was? Well, "a businessman" who wishes to "oil" her campaign machinery by partaking in the ‘adopt-a-polling-station campaign’ in her constituency had called. He wanted to know the modalities if one was to get on-board.

The ruse worked to perfection and got Mrs Owusu-Ekuful out of her seat. And while the show producers got her engaged - in the foyer leading to the studio - about how to go about the supposed businessman's proposal, the huge birthday cake, bottles of Champagne and wine for her special day were secretly shipped into the studio via another access route.

Imagine her SURPRISE when she beheld the "array of goodies" as she made her way back into the studio after the few minutes engagement (call it a "distraction" and you wouldn't be far from right) outside in the inner reception.

Chairman General (in his usual SULTRY voice) together with the panel members - Charles Owusu of the Progressive People's Party, Chief Biney of the ruling National Democratic Congress and Atik Mohammed - and the entire production team (comprising Isaac Oduro-Mahmadu, Victoria Asare-Memuna, Steve Baffour-Issaka and Kwadwo Asante) with support from Mawuse Woka and Peter Squire, sang to Ursula's honour and later joined her to cut her 52nd birthday cake.
