Ghanaian actress Brenda Osei Bonsu’s granny, Obaapanyin Yaa Amponsah, is reported dead.
She died at age 104.
Obaapanyin Yaa Amponsah is mother of the actress’ dad, Mr Osei Bonsu, who is also the CEO of Tonisco Group of Companies.
Her final funeral rite is slated for November 12 and 13 at Achiase, close to the airport in Kumasi, where she will be laid to rest.
“She was a strong woman and we miss her. May her soul rest in peace (RIP),” Brenda said on Thursday.
Brenda is a talented actress and TV personality. She currently hosts a talk show called, Hello Africa on Kantanka TV.
She is known for her outstanding performances in movies like ‘Beautiful Liar’, ‘Material Girls’, ‘Dons of Sakawa’, ‘Chelsea’, among others.
She made her debut in hit movie titled ‘Faithful Liar’ in the late 90s alongside the late Kwame Owusu Ansah and Omar Sheriff Captan, and she has since been a delight to watch. But she has been on and off.
