UMB Opens New Branch At UPSA

The Universal Merchant Bank (UMB), has opened a new branch at the banking square of the University of University of Professional Studies (UPSA).

This brings the number of UMB branches to 31, a move the bank says puts its strategic plan to improve the brand’s visibility and expand its distribution channel in the country on course.

At the launch, the Managing Director of UMB, Mr. John Awuah said it is no secret that UMB has a very special relationship with students.

He indicated that Over the past two years the bank has  have witnessed how the youth in Ghana, especially tertiary students, have embraced their brand and continue to sign up for their  Aspire student account.

He noted that in the last few years UPSA has transformed itself into one of Ghana’s most outstanding Universities.

He said their decision to establish this branch is premised on the fact that the UPSA is committed to developing exceptional young leaders and this is a vision that UMB identifies with.

“Our Aspire student account is positioned as a platform for them to build and sustain their dreams” he added.

He said Ghana’s future depends on the opportunities that we create for the youth. And said youth development is a key priority for them and that is why they have committed resources to executing financial and non - financial initiatives to cater to the needs of our youth.

He noted that this branch is just one of those initiatives to shows their commitment to continue to partner their future leaders for their advancement.
