NPP Exposes Fake Election Soldiers

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has alleged that the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) intends using some thugs who will be dressed in military and police uniforms to create confusion at polling stations in the Ashanti Region on December 7.

The NPP alleged that the NDC had assured the thugs that the needs of their families would be met should they (thugs) lose their lives on the election day.

According to the NPP, the military and police imposters have been given special vehicles to move freely, huge amount of money and offensive weapons to disrupt the polls in the Ashanti Region, which is the NPP’s stronghold.

The retired officers and men of the various security services of the NPP, led by Lt. Col. A. Serebuor (Rtd,) sternly warned the NDC thugs to behave on the election day to help preserve their lives, stressing that “we, in the NPP, are ready for them.”

According to him, President Mahama would be blamed for any bloodbath in the Ashanti region during the elections.

He admonished professional police and military personnel to be alert and stop the imposters from tarnishing their image.

“We are calling on the professional soldiers and police and other sister security agencies not to allow ragamuffins to tarnish their hard-earned reputation.”

Addressing the media in Kumasi on Tuesday, he said that the NDC had stockpiled weapons in some houses in Kumasi belonging to NDC kingpins with the sole aim of using them to cause mayhem in the region.

Lt. Col Serebuor claimed National Security Coordinator, Yaw Donkor was aware of the fiendish plans of the NDC to destabilize the Ashanti Region on December 7.

He noted that the NDC administration had recently installed CCTV cameras and jammers all over Kumasi which would be used to block communications so as to enable the Electoral Commission (EC) to rig the polls for the NDC, saying “nothing can stop the wind of change which is blowing.”

Some filling stations belonging to NPP capos and some markets in the Ashanti region would be set on fire by the NDC’s hired arsonists in the coming days just to distract the NPP from the elections so that the NDC could rig the polls, according to him.

He claimed some names of security personnel in the region had been deleted from the special voting list, adding that the affected officers strangely had also been deployed outside their stations on the day of election just to make sure that they don’t exercise their franchise on December 7.

Lt. Col Serebuor debunked reports that the NPP would sack all recruits at the various training centers, stressing that the NPP administration, led by Nana Akufo-Addo, would rather introduce policies to boost the welfare of personnel of the various security agencies.

He entreated the recruits, who are still undergoing training and Ghanaians in general, to vote massively for Nana Akufo-Addo and the NPP to improve the economy.
