NDC Urges Its Ashanti Supporters To Go Out To Vote

Deputy Ashanti Regional Minister, Mr. Andy Osei Okrah, has urged supporters of the governing party in the region - the hotbed of the NPP, to go out to vote on December 07.

They should refuse to be intimidated by anybody, he said; adding, there would be adequate security for all voters.

He made the call after inspecting the progress of work on the 500-bed military hospital at Afari in the Atwima-Nwabiagya District.

It is one of the four hospitals being built by the government in Ashanti to improve access to quality healthcare.

The others are at Sewua in the Bosomtwe District, Kumawu in Sekyere East, and Konongo in the Asante-Akim Central Municipality.

Mr. Okrah underlined the need for the followers of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to remain focused and reach out to every voter to win them over.

Accompanied by the District Chief Executive, Nana Asare Bediako, he said a lot had been achieved under the Mahama Administration and expressed confidence that the people would reward this with their votes.

He praised the contractors for the job done and said on completion it would ease pressure on the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH), the nation’s second largest referral facility.

Baba Anaba, Administrative Manager of Euroget Group, the contractors’, said the project was about 90 per cent complete.
