Actress Yvonne Nelson at one point had to endure a lot of flak, and even a very ugly split from long time bestie John Dumelo, when she organised the infamous ‘Dumsor Must Stop’ vigil.
It was a moment of positive political activism, although as usual in Ghana, the issue became heavily politicised and she was criticised immensely for it.
In the just ended elections, Yvonne did not join the fray, never endorsing either party.
