The Black Stars sit 43rd on the global table for the month of March.
Ghana has the 43rd best national soccer team in the world, per the latest Fifa ranking released on Thursday.
The March table sees the West Africans move up by two places, sandwiched between the Czech Republic and Paraguay.
On the continental level, the Black Stars still hold the eighth position, ahead of 2015 African champions Cote d’Ivoire and Morocco, who are both tied on the 47th spot.
Egypt (20) still lead the pack in Africa, while Senegal (28), 2017 Afcon champions Cameroon (32), Burkina Faso (36), Tunisia (37), DR Congo (38) and Nigeria (41) make up the top seven in that order.
On the global ranking, there was no change among the top 12, with Argentina, Brazil, Germany, Chile and Belgium comprising the top five in that order.
France, Colombia, Portugal, Uruguay and Spain follow in that order in the top 10.
Ghana’s highest ever performance since the ranking’s introduction in August 1993 remains a 14th place in February 2008, while their worst placement was an 89th position in June 2004.
The Black Stars' last assignment was at the 2017 Afcon in Gabon, where they finished fourth after losing 1-0 to Burkina Faso in the third-place playoff.
The team returns to action in the 2019 Afcon qualifiers in a home encounter against Ethiopia in June.
The next edition of the ranking will be published on April 6.
