BBA: Nyansa Krono! Nyansa Krono!!

As this years Big Brother Africa (BBA) reality show, dubbed the Revolution draws closer to an end, Big Brother Africa (BBA) finds ways and means in scheming to satisfy Ghana, after cheating us in the proportional representation of housemates in this years BBA competition. Just last week, the organizers of BBA thought it wise to invite as guest artiste, Ghanas Hiplife ace and Rap Dacta (Okyeame Kwame), to entertain the audience for the eviction show. On the same night, Kweku T, a former BBA participant was also invited to perform. BBA organizers had earlier invited the winner of Face of Africa Anita to also have a chit chat with the house mates. We believe the idea behind the rush to use Ghanaian celebrities at the Big Brother Africa show is to safeguard MNET Ghanas viewership market. In the view of this paper and many Ghanaians alike, the choice and criteria used for choosing this years housemate from Ghana, Ras Wayo, left very little to be desired, as he was a big disappointment since the inception of the reality show which has always had Ghanaian participation. The Chronicle would like to pose this question; when did Patoa (Jamaican English) become a recognized Ghanaian language, for which Ras Wayo was selected from Ghana to be part of the reality show? And why does BBA have more than one housemate from some participating countries, for example Nigeria.
