JJ's Spirit Was Dead In 2016 - Says NDC Group

National Democratic Congress (NDC) youth wing, Action Movement, has called the bluff of some party stalwarts for whose selfish interests the Mahama-Amissah-Arthur-led-administration should still be in government."

According to them, the spirit the founder of the NDC, Jerry John Rawlings, brought into the party to win the 2008 elections was dead during the 2016 elections and that was attributable to selfishness on the party of some members of the then government.

At a press conference held in Accra yesterday, the group said "the Action Movement is extremely surprised that after our March 17 press conference, our hard-working members were called armed robbers and chicken thieves."

The spokesperson of the movement, Mr. Kodzo Hamenya Keglo, said the movement was fully aware that some leading party members threw their weight behind independent candidates and this further weakened the NDC during the 2016 elections.

Still no collation result
The NDC action movement said some administrators of the party went to the collation center with bare hands while the New Patriotic Party (NPP), then in opposition, came to the center with five laptops for each constituency with modems and other gadgets.

This, he said meant the NDC was not ready at the time to resource them to retain power.

"No wonder after 24 hours we claimed we were in a comfortable lead, while the NPP had finished collating all the results. Till now the NDC have not finished collating results.

"How can John Mahama give responsibility to someone who has ambition to be president in 2020? If we could not work to win one region, how can we win the entire country" he asked.

NDC broken

The group, in a sarcastic manner, applauded Mr. Ekwow Spio-Garbrah, former Minister of Trade and Industry for his comment that the NDC was in tatters.
"We thank Spio-Garbrah for telling us how broken the NDC is today.
