Sulley Muntari Walks Off Pitch After Being Booked For Complaining About Racist Chanting (VIDEOS)

ITALIAN football has been engulfed in yet another disgusting episode of racism. Former Portsmouth midfielder, Sulley Muntari, was forced to walk off the pitch after being BOOKED for continually complained to the referee about the chanting from Cagliari fans.He took his complaints to referee, Daniele Minelli, who initially ignore before pulling out the yellow card for the Ghanaian.

A disgusted Muntari reacted by walking off the pitch and leaving Pescara with ten men for the final few minutes of the match. After the match, he explained the shocking scenes at the Stadio Sant'Elia — revealed he was even racially abused by a child who had his parents nearby.

In an emotional interview, Muntari even explained the classy way in which he dealt with his abuser.

He exploded: "You all saw what happened.

"The fans were chanting all first-half — there was even a child doing it with his parents nearby.

"I even gave him my shirt to teach him that he shouldn't do these things.

"It is important to act as an exampled and help him grow."Then, in the second half, it happened with the whole stand and I spoke to the referee — and there he really p***** me off!

"He told me I shouldn't interact with the crowd. I asked him: 'Did you hear them?'

"I told him he should have the courage to stop the game, a referee's job isn't just to blow his whistle for a foul — he needs to do everything.

"Even hearing these things and acting as an example."Worryingly, he was criticised by his manager, who showed just how out of touch with reality he is — and his attitude why there is a serious problem in Italy.

Zdenek Zeman, 69, said: “Muntari left the pitch because of racist chanting, but we shouldn’t react with such vigilante gestures.

“You have to accept certain things and move on.

“Racism is spoken of a lot and, today, this has happened to Muntari, who has been playing in Italy for many years.

“We would like to change the mentality.”

Earlier in the season, Lazio’s Senad Lulic received a 20-day ban for a making a racist comment about Roma’s Antonio Rudiger.

And, more recently, there was a Nazi flag spotted flying out of the window of a house overlooking the Serie B match between Virtus Entella and Ascoli.
