The former Porcupine Warriors midfielder has hit out at the club's top hierarchy, insisting they lack policy direction.
Ghana midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu believes Asante Kotoko's poor performance in the Ghana Premier League is as a result of poor decisions by the club's top hierarchy.
The Kumasi-based club have gone seven games without a win for the first time since 2011, sitting eighth on the log.
"Asante Kotoko lack policy direction and that is one of the main reasons why the club is having a terrible season. How can three coaches manage such a big club after only 14 games? With these decisions made by the management what else do you expect," Badu told Happy FM.
"Michael Osei was in charge during pre-season before Zdravko Lugarusic took over and he was also sacked because the supporters protested against his playing style since they believed it did not match the club's philosophy, although he was winning games. And Godwin Ablordey took over before Frimpong Manso was appointed as a caretaker."
"I believe that the frequent changes at the technical level have had an adverse effect on the team, so I'm not surprised by what we are seeing."
He added: "However, I will plead with the supporters to exercise patience and give Frimpong Manso a little time and space to turn things around and I believe he can do it with adequate support."
Kotoko will welcome Tema Youth to the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday in the final games of the first round.
Agyemang-Badu played for Kotoko between 2008 and 2009 before he joined Spanish side Recreativo de Huelva.
