Bugri Naabu's Claim Is "Complete Rubbish . . .Bogus And Fraudulent" - Kweku Baako Rebukes NPP Chair

Seasoned journalist Kweku Baako Jnr. has asked the Police Service to investigate the allegations by the NPP Northern Regional Chairman, Bugri Naabu, against the Upper East Regional Minister.

Bugri Naabu has implicated the Hon. Rockson Bukari in the death of Adams Mahama and further accused the Gender Minister, Otiko Djaba, of complicitity in the scheme.

Addressing the issue on Peace FM's 'Kokrokoo', Kweku Baako labeled Bugri Naabu's claims as "nonsense" and "bogus".

According to him, it is "bogus and fraudulent" and charged the security agencies to probe him further, stating emphatically that Bugri Naabu was making empty talks.

“It’s complete rubbish. Rubbish that deserves to be consigned into the dustbin of history. But before we can do that, I’m all for investigations. I’m all for Bugri to be challenged to substantiate because that is the only way for everyone to see that it’s complete rubbish, bogus and fraudulent." he said.

He further stated that the conduct of the NPP Northern Regional Chairman is bringing the government into disrepute and it's prudent for the party to sanction him.

Mr. Baako also found it ridiculous that the Regional Chairman of the ruling party kept silent on the matter till date if he indeed had any evidence to corroborate his claims.

He added that Bugri Naabu must be compelled to back up his claims with concrete evidence.

He stressed that he strongly believes the allegations are not true and that the "best way to demolish this nonsense is to invite the man to bring the evidence".

“Where was Bugri all this time? When the issue happened, Bugri talked on radio and TV. He accused certain personalities who are in the NPP. He mentioned names…Not just him, another leading member of the NPP also mentioned other big names. Do you remember someone claimed Kwadwo Mpiani and his boss were behind the killing? Bugri pointed fingers at Kwabena Agyepong and Afoko. This man that Bugri has mentioned his name – Rockson Bukari – he was the Spokesperson for the Adams’ family and at the funeral…this man gave a very emotionally charged speech and without mentioning names, he pointed at people he claimed were within the party who were responsible for it. Bugri was there. He was at the funeral and he knew this man was a murderer or the mastermind behind the murder and he sat down for the man to make all those statements…Where was Bugri when the Council of Elders said that everyone should stop the passing of innuendos and so forth, and if you have evidence, go and give it to the investigators so that they can do a professional work with it?” Mr. Baako questioned.
