“Polo Play” Mirror Ball @ Spadana On Friday, 30th June!

We are officially at the half way point to the end of the year and mark it on the wall that the next time you consider how time flies you may be way past homowo feeling that pre bronya traffic jam in town with your friends and family innit.  Now is the time for sober reflection, reorientation and if earned, a handsome reward and for a well-earned treat there is no incentive better to crown off the month than a memorable night out at the Mirror Ball.

Ghana’s old school music aficionados and premium fun lovers who can tell you what was fashionable when this song came out in 1978 and where the top hang out spot was in 1992 will all converge at the Spadana restaurant & bar in Osu behind the old Russian Embassy and opposite Akai House for an observance of an age old monthly rite.  A first timer to the Mirror Ball can expect an unrivalled nostalgic experience in a perfectly lit lounge atmosphere with affordable drinks, delicious food and world class Company.

This month the “Polo Play” theme returns with the colourful display of the city’s finest polo tops as DJ Blow invokes the presence on the dance floor of Ghana’s movers and shakers with the recollection of classics worthy of Side A on  your favourite TDK or Maxell tape.

Don’t ever doubt the ability of the human body to return to a learned behaviour that has long been dormant.  A dance move is a dance move and with the right song once you see another pull it off, one immediately recalls and gets the confidence to dial up the past.  Moves that may not normally be associated with their current status are all reenacted in the old boy and girl spirit and the fun doesn’t stop until the keep fit crews start running around your neighbourhood.

Doors open from 10pm and The Mirror Ball is brought to you by Tag Team and Spadana bar & restaurant and is supported by Starr 103.5 FM.
