“Walking Off Live TV Interview Has Liberated My Fans” - Tic Tac

Rapper Nana Kwaku Duah popularly known as Tic Tac who walked off a live interview on national television this morning, has explained his action.

Speaking in an exclusive interview on Neat FM’s “Entertainment Ghana”, the ‘Kangaroo’ hit maker said he walked off because he felt disrespected.

According to him the presenter asked him a question about a negative statement Shatta Wale made about him and while he was answering the question, he noticed that Shatta Wale’s video playing on the screen while he was speaking and that triggered his anger.

He explained that he gave his new music videos to producers of the program and asked them to show his new videos during the interview but they rather showed two of his old videos and showed Shatta Wale new video instead.

“You ask me a question about Shatta Wale and I am answering, then you go on to show Shatta Wale’s new when you have not played my new videos. I didn’t come there because of Shatta Wale, I am not Shatta Wale’s PRO and that is not the reason why I came. I thought that was wrong in all rights so it was better that I walk off peacefully, so that I don’t say anything to create more mess”.

Tic Tac said he felt disrespected and his fans also felt the same. So he doesn’t regret his actions and he would repeat it, if it happens again.

“My fans are very happy with what I did because they also felt very disrespected when that was going on. In fact walking out of that studio has liberated my fans. If I come for any interview and they are playing another person’s video, it is disrespect to me.”

Tic Tac walked out of a live interview on GH One television’s ‘GH Today,’ breakfast show on Friday morning December 8, 2017. The hiplife artiste while answering to questions about his feud with Shatta Wale felt offended when Shatta Wale’s video was shown on the screen. While the video played in the background he asked: “Are you playing Shatta Wale’s video?”

He then got out of the guest’s couch and asked: “Is it because we are talking about him (Shatta Wale)?”

According to him, it was disrespectful for the station to have shown Shatta Wale’s video when he was on set for an interview. “I did not come here to promote Shatta Wale,” he said and left the studio.

The host, Baisiwa Dowuna Hammond pleaded with him to sit so they resolved the issue but he would not budge.

Tic Tac and Shatta Wale have been at loggerheads after the latter had said that the former did not make good use of what he had when he was at his prime. Shatta Wale had said Tic Tac and some other musicians who came before him, were not smart, and as a result have been broke.

Tic Tac, not happy with this statement has come out to expressed his displeasure on several occasions. Currently, the ‘Kangaroo’ hit maker is out with ‘Pray’ and has been preparing to release his forthcoming album, ‘Mama Grace.’

From Monday 4th to 6th December 2017, he was on board Aayalolo buses, sharing free Run Energy drink, CDs, and other Aayalolo souvenirs to mark the one-year anniversary of Aayalolo bus operation and create awareness ahead of the release of his 7th album.
