“I Deserve A Rematch” – Saucedo

Fernando David Saucedo has thrown another challenge at reigning International Boxing Organization (IBO) Lightweight World champion, Emmanuel “Gameboy” Tagoe for a rematch.

Saucedo lost in his challenge to Tagoe’s title in the tenth round by a technical knockout at the Bukom Boxing Arena in Accra last Saturday.

The Argentine has since complained bitterly of unfair officiating by referee Roger Banor, adding that it was the reason for his lost.

Saucedo, 36, was seen on several occasions exchanging words with the referee in the ring during the bout.

Asked about why he removed his mouth gum to exchange words with the referee, the Argentine told the GNA Sports, that he wanted to complain about being hit illegally by his opponent which the referee wouldn’t listen.

“It was very clear I was getting hit at the back of my neck which is illegal.

“I am hoping for rematch either here or in Argentina. I deserve another opportunity at this title. I am disappointed in the referee. I did my best because I came here and I fought hard” he added.
