Kweku Okyere was on Saturday elected unopposed as Captain of the Tema Country Golf Club to steer the affairs of the Club for a two-year term.
The election, which was conducted at Tema, saw all the executive officers being elected unopposed.
They were Paul Owusu-Baah, Vice Captain, Brigadier Joseph Odei, Secretary, Mr Kwabena Boakye, Treasurer, Mr Richard Agbenu, Competition Secretary and Emmanuel Yaw Donkor, House Member.
Nana Kodjo Duku, Vice President of the Club urged the elected officers to continue to work in unity for the promotion and development of the sport.
In an acceptance speech, Mr Okyere thanked the members for the confidence reposed in him and his members and called for the support of the members to enable them execute their duties efficiently.
At an 'Elections Special" competition played on the same day, Tang Wie returned a net score of 66 to place first.
Ernest Opoku came second with 70 net while J. M. Dufour took the third position with 73 net.
Esther Antwi won the Ladies segment with 70 net while Florence Etwi-Barimah took the second position with 72 net.
