Paa Kwesi Fabin Accused Of Taking Bribes

Former Kotoko striker Kwadwo Poku has made a shocking revelation after the Club reappointed Paa Kwesi Fabin as head Coach of the side.

According to the ex-Ghana U23 forward, the Coach (Paa Kwesi Fabin) is vulnerable in the face of players who sometimes bribe him to fix them in matches.

Kwadwo Poku claims the former Ghana U17 Coach was induced with money which always made him bias in his selections.

The two (Kwadwo Poku and Paa Kwesi Fabin) worked together at Kotoko during the 2007/08 season.

”I know human beings can change at a time but what I know of Paa Kwesi is that he is not a good coach. He takes bribe and I don’t know if he has changed or not,” Kwadwo Poku told Silver FM in Kumasi.

He continued: “Paa Kwesi takes bribe a lot.”

“I remember during our time with him at Kotoko and even at school (OKESS) that was what he was doing, always receiving bribes. That is the gospel truth concerning what I know of him.”

“During our time at Kotoko, I remember there was a game in which Alex Asamoah knew he would start because he was part of the team’s preparations during that week.  Paa Kwesi didn’t use him for that game and rather used Baffour Gyan who came from Accra a day before the game”

“He also benched the other strikers who were expected to make the match-day list to pave way for Gyan. Alex Asamoah questioned him about that and he (Paa Kwesi) told Alex that he’ll put him in a fridge – meaning he is not going to use him for matches anymore.”

“I called the management members at that time and reported Paa Kwesi to them and he was sack the following day.”

Paa Kwesi Fabin was similarly accused for taking bribes after Ghana was knocked out of the FIFA U17 World Cup in November last year.

Kotoko confirmed the Coach as the new head trainer of the side following the sacking of Steve Polack who was shown the door after the Club’s exit from the CAF Confederations Cup.
