Patrick Razak On a GHc 450 Monthly Salary At Hearts of Oak

Local agent of Hearts of Oak star-man Patrick Razak has revealed his client is on a GHS450 monthly salary.

The Phobians are seeking to convince the winger to sign a new contract that would increase his monthly earnings to GHS1,500.

But, representative of the player has turned down the new offer and told Accra-based Asempa FM his client will exit the capital club in November.

The 2000 CAF Champions League winners sign the 28-year-old from lower-tier club Tamale Utrecht four seasons ago.

The current situation confronting footballers in Ghana is even dire as some players playing on the Ghanaian top-flight are earning as low as $45 a month.

The case bores down to bad management from the top hierarchy at the GFA to individual clubs who cannot position themselves to attract sponsorship which could improve the situation of players.

Hearts for instance lost four key players at the end of the recently ended season due to bad remunerations – defender Vincent Atinga, Kwame Kizito, midfielder Leonard Tawiah and captain Thomas Abbey all exited the club to seek greener pastures.

The lightening-paced winger used the recently held WAFU tournament to justify his qualities and attractive a flock of clubs including Guinean club Horoya FC who have proposed an $80,000 offer for the player.

According to reports Ghana FA President Kwesi Nyantakyi attempted to intervene in the process and facilitate the sale of the player.

Razak’s agent who is also the Northern regional FA Chairman revealed Horoya are willing to increase their $3000-monthly salary with additional incentives.

Hearts turned down the offer and decided to go on contract renewal terms with the player which has been met with a grand refusal.
