Editorial: Unjustifiable!

There can be no justification for the treatment of Ab-Dallah Ibn-Ahmed, a Ghanaian pilot and a Moslem by the US administration. Ibn Ahmeds name was mistakenly placed on the list of terror suspects soon after the 9/11 terrorist attack and it is instructive that this error came about only because he was a Moslem and a pilot. In spite of the fact that the error has been detected, the US administration continues to keep this innocent victims name on the terror list. As a result, Ibn-Ahmed has not been able to get a job for many years and even remittances to him have been blocked. This is most unfair and we unhesitantly call on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to take immediate steps to restore the full rights of Ibn-Ahmed. The United States of America must be told in plain language that we have had enough of her arrogance and impunity. The fight to end restriction on Ibn-Ahmed must be seen correctly as a national crusade.
