Odike Jabs Mahama

Akwasi Addai, affectionately called Odike, founder of the United Progressive Party (UPP), has stated emphatically that ex-President John Dramani Mahama is not fit to occupy the presidential seat in the country any longer.

He argued that when Mr Mahama was given the chance to govern the country for four years, he failed woefully to perform and so such a person doesn’t need to be elected as president again.

According to Odike, the country was led into ditch during the four years that Mr. Mahama was the president, adding that it was God who saved the country in 2016 by kicking him out of office.

Mr Akwasi Addai was convinced that Ghana’s woes, especially the economic mess, would have been deepened, had Ghanaians made a mistake of retaining Mr. Mahama.

“John Dramani Mahama was given the chance to be the president of this country and he clearly failed with his unproductive programmes and policies, which only deepened the hardship facing the citizenry.

“Such a person can never, and should never be voted as president again because he has proven beyond every reasonable doubt that he lacks governing skills and so he cannot be president again, period!” he said on Nhyira FM.

Odike, who was a friend of Mr. Mahama, stated that his candid opinion should not be misconstrued to mean that he hates Mr. Mahama, stressing that he harbours no hatred against the former Ghanaian leader.

“I don’t hate Mr. Mahama and that is a fact. He is a nice gentleman and even if he decides to form a church today, I will be the first person to join it because I have no ill feelings or hatred against him.

“But for the position of president, I bet you, Mr. Mahaha is not fit to occupy the presidential seat again because he has proven that he doesn’t have the qualities to govern a country and create wealth for the people,” Mr Akwasi Addai charged.

According to Odike, “Mahama was tested as president and failed big time. He can’t do it because he doesn’t have the qualities to be a good president,” adding that the NDC should replace Mr. Mahama for the 2020 polls.
