Patriots Hammer Mac Manu Again

Barely Two days after media publications of calls by some members of The Patriots Club to dissolve what it termed the empire of New Patriotic Party Chairman, Peter Mac Manu, some conservative members of the club have appealed for restraint. All this corps of the less radical young intellectuals within The Patriots is prevailing on the more radical mates is to say a street procession they are poised for and, rather, concentrate on their call for the impeachment of Chairman Mac Manu. The young Turks had demanded the immediate termination of the National Executive of the NPP, alleging-among others-that the ineptitude and mismanagement of the Mac Manu-led administration had caused the defeat of the party in last years general election. A statement from the conservative group agreed, nonetheless, it was unacceptable that, whilst the NPP was losing the 2008 elections, not one, but a considerable number of party leaders were running across the length and breadth of the country doing unproductive things, describing such behavior as unfortunate. This is a reflection of the kind of leadership that the current body of executives foisted on NPP. In spite of these seemingly worrying concerns, the conservative wing of The Patriots Club have pleaded with the young members of the group to seek redress in the law and seek the service of a constitutional lawyer to start impeachment proceedings against the Mac Manu National Executive. The statement concluded, The Mac Manu team has not led; it has played; they have managed the NPP affairs with self-interest, encouraging divisiveness and have found every opportunity to trample on the partys constitution and with all cleverness. They have played one group against the other and have been party to and condoned wrongdoings.
