I Don’t Need Brother Sammy To Be Popular – Patience Nyarko

Gospel Musician, Patience Nyarko says she has already made it and does not need Brother Sammy to make her or her songs popular.

The gospel musician in an interview on Kumasi-based Abusua said “Patience Nyarko is not an artiste who needs somebody to push my song. My first album was a hit, it got me three nominations at the VGMA, and the second album also did well, therefore I’m not a new artiste who needs somebody”.

Patience Nyarko also noted that collaborating with an artiste surrounded with controversies does not guarantee her music will be a success.

She said, “that thing doesn’t work for me, because I know somebody who did a song with Shatta Wale and was never a hit”.

She indicated that the nation’s worshiper was featured as a step to show that at least there is some kind of good relationship among gospel musicians in Ghana and nothing else.

“This will let the world know there is some kind of brotherliness among gospel musicians. Therefore he can freely invite me when he needs me so as I can do the same. But not that he is coming to promote my song,” she said.

She said since the release of ‘Obi Nyani Me’, it has become the toast of many including prominent individuals including former President Kufuor and CEO of Despite Group of Companies.
