Gov't Sets Up Interim Committee To Manage Football

President Akufo-Addo has instructed Dr. Kofi Amoah as well as ex-National stars Abedi Ayew Pele and Rev. Osei Kofi to lead the Ghana Football Association on the interim.

GHALCA Chairman Cudjoe Fianoo will serve as Secretary to the committee and Ms. Eva Okyere also as member. 

Mr. Dan Kweku Yeboah will serve as the committee's spokesperson.

The five have been directed to stir affairs of the Football Association as government put in place measures to dissolve the existing EXCO members.

Abedi Pele was last reported to have expressed interest in running for the GFA Presidency, a claim he later denied.

The father of Swansea City duo (Andre and Jordan Ayew) is now reported to have agreed to serve as one of the five selected people to lead the interim committee.

Kwesi Nyantakyi relinquished his position as Ghana Football Association President after being caught in a video scandal released by investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas, the video also exposed several top officials of the Ghana Football Association.

The government have since taken steps to dissolve the Association.

Meanwhile all football activities have currently been postponed until further notice.
