Teshie Orphanage organizes Christmas Party

The Teshie Orphahage on Wednesday organised a Christmas Party for the inmates to put smiles on their faces. Mrs Janet Anyele Parker, Founder of the Home, said the Party was an annual event sponsored by non-governmental organisations, public-spirited individuals and churches, to provide a homely atmosphere for the children during the occasion. She said it was to make the children feel that they were not left out in the Christmas celebration. Mrs Parker thanked the sponsors and donors for the diverse ways in which they helped the orphanage. She said the major challenge facing the home was lack of funds to cater for the educational needs of the children. She appealed to individuals, non-governmental organizations and government agencies to support the orphanage financially. The inmates were presented with toys and educational materials by some individuals, as well as food and assorted items.
