The Ashanti Regional Voltarian Co-ordinating Council (VCC) has called for the peaceful co-existence of all ethnic and political groups to enhance the development of Ghana.
It urged Ghanaians to be patriotic and work hard in their various fields of endeavour for increased productivity.
A New Year Message issued and signed by Togbui Mawufeame Fugah, President of the Council, in Kumasi said the key to any successful economic growth depended on the efforts, dedication and commitment of the people.
It called on all Ghanaians to shun lukewarm attitudes to work, and resolve to be time conscious and discipline for effective utilization of the nation's resources.
The VCC extended its best wishes to the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II and all political leaders and faithfuls and prayed for God's guidance and power for the President and his Ministers.
