Discharge Duties With Competence, Neutrality And Fairness - NPP Pink Ladies To Jean Mensa

The National Executive Committee of NPP Power Ideological Network Keeper Ladies (NPP Pink Ladies) is enthused about President Akufo-Addo's decision to nominate Mrs. Jean Adukwei Mensa as the Chairperson of the Electoral Commission.

"We wish to congratulate Mrs. Jean Adukwei Mensa, Mr.Samuel Tettey, Dr. Eric Asare Bossman and Ms. Adwoa Asuma Abrefa for their respective nominations to serve as the Commissioners for the Electoral Commission of Ghana. 

"Indeed all of them fully qualified to occupy such respected positions. We would like to urge them to discharge their duties on the principles of Competence, neutrality and fairness to all Registered Political Parties.

"We are also expecting them to; 1. Fully implement the Political Parties Law 2000, (Act 574) in order to deepen our growing multi-party democracy.
2. Fully implement the ROPAL policy.
3. Introduce series of cutting edge and top-notch electoral reforms to safeguard our democracy.
4. Respect and consider the opinions of Political Parties during IPAC Meetings.


"We believe in the competence of Mrs. Jean Mensa and we hope that she will bring such competence to her new role at the EC surpassing the performance of her predecessors," the statement read.
