Tax Evaders To Be Prosecuted Soon

The Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) in conjunction with the other authorities will embark on an exercise to prosecute persons who evade the payment of tax.

According to the authority, people should not take the payment of tax for granted since it is the fuel used in running the economy and that when caught ‘you will be dealt with according to the law’.

The authority has given up to 31st August for all defaulters to pay tax. After that tax amnesty window is closed, prosecution will start.

This was made known when three commissioners of the GRA: Emmanuel Kofi Nti, Commissioner-General GRA, Kwasi Gyimah-Asante - Commissioner, Domestic Tax Revenue Division, Isaac crenstil - Commissioner Customs Division interacted with Kwami Sefa-Kayi on Monday’s edition of ‘Kokrokoo’.
