Eric Opoku has bought a piece of land at Lashibi, Community 17 opposite Ann Lisa international school at the cost of Two hundred and fifty Million old cedis (25,000)Gh� and has commenced with a massive building on the land within 11 months in office as the Deputy Regional Minister! �Currently, the project is 90 percent completed and the estimation cost of the building upon completion will cost about one hundred thousand dollars� (GH�141,905.6) said an estate developer. Investigations conducted by this paper have it that, Hon. Eric Opoku bought the land from the owner of the said school when she needed some money for another venture! Some residents this reporter spoke to at Lashibi Transformer Down (community 17) are wondering where this huge sum of money comes from within this short period of time he became the Deputy Brong Ahafo Minister. According to the Searchlight, the minister bought the land within 3 months into the NDC�s administration! The Daily Search light newspaper has also learned through various interviews in the community that the money was paid to the owner of the school and Hon Eric Opoku has told people that he does not want to end up destitute after he leaves office. Highly placed sources from the house has hinted that they are never short of materials since the building started, because the Minister wants the house to be completed quickly in order for his family to move in!
