CAF Extra’O General Assembly To Elect Nyantakyi’s Replacement On Sept. 30

CAF General Assembly members will meet at Sharm El Sheikh in Egypt to elect an African representative to the FIFA council for the Anglophone linguistic grouping to replace the original holder of the position Kwesi Nyantakyi who resigned on June 8 following his implication in the Tiger Eye Pi undercover investigative video.

CAF will also deliberate on the concept of centralisation of the rights of the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers among other things.

FIFA Council member Ntantakyi was banned by FIFA Ethics committee for 90 days which was extended by further 45 days and now CAF is set to name his successor to the highest position in global soccer.
