Mr David Cobbina Brigidi, President and bankroller of the newly promoted Ghana Premier League (GPL) side, Karela Football Club, has been confirm dead on Sunday, September 30.
Mr. Emmanuel Cobbina, the Deputy Public Relations Officer in an interview with the GNA Sports said, “yes the news has been confirmed to the children and the family of the late Mr. Birigidi"
He said, the late Mr. Brigidi has been sick for the past three months and went to Europe for treatment, where he was pronounced dead.
The 56 year old Mr David Cobbina was known in the football fraternity as the "Senator Birigidi ".
Mr. Brigidy bought Karela FC in 2013 and helped the division one side gain promotion to the Ghana Premier League (GPL) in 2018.
