Credit Union Official encourages the public to save

Mustard Seed Co-operative Credit Union Limited in Cape Coast has opened a new branch at Jukwa in the Central Region with a call on the public to cultivate the habit of saving. The Managing Director of the company, Mr. Alfred Kwaku Abban, said it was his outfit's aim to encourage savings particularly among people in the rural areas to reduce poverty. He said the opening of the Jukwa branch brings to six the number of branches so far opened in the region. Mr Abban said the union had been able to support 15 students from the JHS to the polytechnic level, and that to create employment for people in the area. It has purchased Urvan buses and employed more than 50 people to run them on commercial basis. The chief of Wassa Domama, Nana Buadi Amponin II, appealed to the staff to be courteous and build effective customer relations to win more customers.
