NDC's Azorka Boys Responsible For Ayawaso West Wuogon Shooting - Sammy Awuku

National Organizer of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Sammy Awuku has refuted claims that pro-NPP vigilante group - Invisible Forces - were responsible for the mayhem that occured in the early hours of the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency bye-election.

Speaking in an interview with Kwami Sefa Kayi on Peace FM's 'Kokrokoo', Sammy Awuku stated emphatically that the violence which erupted at the Bawaleshie Presby electoral area has "nothing at all to do with" the presence of the Invisible Forces at the constituency.

According to hm, his investigations of what led to the misunderstanding resulting in the shooting incident, reveal that it was a pro-NDC vigilante group - Azorka Boys - who tried to forcible prevent the security agencies from going about their normal duties.

He wondered why the NDC would pin the incident on the ruling party when it was their (NDCs) vigilante group that ignited the violent situation at the polling station.

He further sought to expose the lies of NDC Member of Parliament for Ningo Prampram, Sam George who earlier on, revealed he had been attacked by members of the NPP Invincible Forces at the ongoing Ayawaso West Wuogon bye-election.

In a Facebook post, he said: "I have just been assaulted by several members of the NPP Invincible Forces attired in National Security Council shirts and vests. They fired several rounds of ammunition at me simply because I was doing my legal job of monitoring the Ayawaso West Wuogon by-election. President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, I am grateful to you".

But Sammy Awuku disclosed that he has been in talks with Sam George to find out what actually happened, and the NDC MP admitted to him that he was not a victim of any shooting incident.
