Government sends goodwill message to Black Satellites and Richard Commey

The Government, through the Ministry of Youth and Sports, has sent a goodwill message to Ghana’s male under-20 football team, the Black Satellites and boxer Richard Commey, ahead of their respective national assignments this weekend.

In a release from the Sports Ministry signed by Miss Gifty Eghan, Assistant Public Relations Officer, Mr. Asiamah urged the team to rise to the occasion and emulate the feat chalked by the 2009 team, that won at both the African and World edition of Youth championship.

Furthermore, the statement expressed confidence in the ability of Richard Commey to clinch the International Boxing Federation (IBF) Lightweight title against Russian opponent Isa Chaniev in the United States of America (USA) this weekend.

Mr. Asiamah, has therefore called on all Ghanaians to support our “men” as they bid to bring honour to our dear country.
